SALARY: R896 436 per annum (Level 11)

REQUIREMENTS:
An appropriate National Diploma or Degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Strategic Communications Management, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6 as recognised by SAQA. A relevant postgraduate qualification in Information Management will be an added advantage.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant experience in the field, preferably within the public sector, and at least two years’ supervisory experience at Assistant Director level.

DUTIES:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective knowledge and information management services across all branch offices.
- This includes supporting the development and implementation of relevant strategies, tools, and guidelines.
- Key responsibilities include promoting and monitoring the use of knowledge and information management tools and assets, maintaining solutions that encourage knowledge sharing, and supporting platforms that enable informed decision-making.
- The role also involves maintaining knowledge bases, webpages, and the electronic document management system, while ensuring controlled access and security of sensitive information and documents.
- The incumbent will ensure compliance with established guidelines and procedures, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of organisational learning, innovation, and collaboration, and evaluate the impact of knowledge management initiatives.
- The role further requires the production of reports and research briefings related to knowledge and information management activities and projects, as well as providing functional support for quality reporting within the branch.
