Requirements
-
National Senior Certificate and a three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Development Studies, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6 or 7, as recognised by SAQA.

Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in policy research, evaluation, or within the government or municipal sector, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Excel, and Outlook.

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to undertake extensive travel.
Additional Requirements (Advantageous):

Familiarity with data analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, or Power BI.

Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing the implementation of policy analysis and policy development projects.

Overseeing the process of conducting policy research using a range of analytical methods and techniques.

Managing the development and refinement of memoranda, issue papers, policy papers, and draft legislation.
-
Overseeing the preparation of written reports, presentations, and short study briefs for non-research audiences.
-
Conducting research as outlined in the Departmental Annual Performance Plan.
