DIRECTOR: INTEGRATED MONITORING AND REPORTING SYSTEM

REF NO: D-IMRS-01

SALARY: R1 266 714 per annum (Level 13). An all-inclusive remuneration package.

  • The package consists of a basic salary (70% of the total package) and a flexible portion, which may be structured in accordance with applicable guidelines.
  • Candidates earning above the first notch of the salary level will be appointed in line with the provisions of PSR 44.

Centre: Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A National Senior Certificate and an undergraduate qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or an equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7 as recognised by SAQA).
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience at a middle or senior managerial level in monitoring and evaluation or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Excel and Outlook).
  • Successful completion of the Nyukela Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme prior to appointment.
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Technical Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of the Municipal Systems Act, Municipal Structures Act, programme monitoring, reporting and evaluation, and the Government Programme of Action.

DUTIES:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of policy and regulatory frameworks to strengthen monitoring and reporting.
  • This includes overseeing the development and implementation of a regulated, standardised set of performance indicators for municipalities;
  • coordinating the development of the municipal performance report;

managing the assessment of provincial and municipal performance;
