Purpose of the Post
To manage and monitor the provision of contract management advisory services.
Salary
R1,266,714 per annum (Level 13).
The all-inclusive remuneration package consists of a basic salary, the State’s contribution to the Government Pension Fund, medical aid, and a flexible portion in accordance with applicable rules.

Requirements

An appropriate NQF Level 7 qualification as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in Law, Legal Contract Management, or an equivalent qualification (e.g. LLB)

Duties
-
Manage and drive the provision of a legal contract management framework and support services to assist the department with the creation, approval, execution, and maintenance of contracts

Manage and oversee contract negotiations and dispute resolution support to ensure contracts and service-level agreements align with departmental interests

Manage and drive the review of contracts and service-level agreements to identify potential legal risks and ensure consistency and efficiency

Drive and monitor the contract lifecycle and conduct risk assessments to improve contract design and execution, reduce liabilities, and enhance value

Establish and maintain a contract repository

Provide advice during contract negotiation and review processes
